First Trade Union Action was taken against the medical students who hit the nursing officers who involved in the Lactation Management Programme. It continued three days and was able to protect the Lactation Management Programme. ==Government Nursing Officers Association-Today== Government Nursing Officers Association is now well established with 14000 of members representing all hospital in both Provincial and Central Government Service. Government Nursing Officers Association functions under the norms of Democracy. Work of Government Nursing Officers Association is managed by the executive committee. Nine Provincial Associations have been established and Functioning of the Districts is coordinated by the District Coordinators.
